Friday 10th January 2014

Once again the ARPANSA laboratory over heated yesterday and we lost one of the detectors, so we had a crisis meeting today with Kingston. We got the electricians and plumbers involved and today I am taking readings with a data logger to get a better handle of what’s going on in there. In the mean time I will just be leaving both doors open to keep the detectors cool.

I packed up all the spare geo-mag equipment they want sent back to Canberra and placed it in the RTA container, then I down loaded yesterdays geo-mag weekly observations and sent them off to Canberra. I’m planning on going up the plateau tomorrow with Luc so I spent a bit of time getting things ready for tomorrow. Late in the afternoon I went for a walk down to East bay. There was no wind and a beautiful reflection on the water in all directions. Maybe it was so nice because I haven't seen water for so long. It's nice to have the time to watch the surrounding changes taking place.

At five o'clock we had another BBQ this time down at the chippies workshop as it was such a nice day with no wind and plenty of warm sun. If it was like this every day I'd buy a block of land down here.
